Miss Chris Marina  Bernardsville, New Jersey 07924   Phone (908) 204-8998

An all new trip this year to see ALL of the abundant life in the salt marsh. This is an unscripted trip that will use our 40 plus years of experience in the back bays to explore not only the bird life, but also life on the mud flats, in the marsh grass and under the water. We will use a variety of nets, rakes and traps to gather marine life to examine. This will be a very hands-on experience.

Be prepared to handle eels, crabs, shrimp, small sharks, starfish, sea urchins and anything else we may come across. We will examine our catch in touch tanks and trays and then it will be returned to the marsh. Magnifying glasses and binoculars will be provided along with plenty of hand soap. Kids of all ages should really enjoy this trip. The OSPREY departs from the Miss Chris Marina in Cape May on Wilson Drive across from the big Lobster House sign.

Come meet your next best furry friend! Poor Paws Rescue became 501c3 NJ charity in 2014. Our founder, Cara Chanin Szeles had been involved in dog rescue and decided she could make a difference and operate a volunteer based dog rescue in Central New Jersey. Our dogs are fostered in private homes, where they are treated as part of a family and given love, training and care. Our goal is that no dog we rescue will ever have to suffer again.  Visit   http://www.poorpawsrescue.com/adoptable-dogs.html

We are a small group of volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters. In doing so, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy-mill and pet-store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for and ultimately the supply of such dogs. We strive to match each dog with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home.

Many times we get asked how we got into rescue work. Our rescue’s founders started off with dog walking at a local shelter, then fostering and fundraising, then took the big leap into a rescue.

We always felt we had the drive and passion to work hard to save as many lives as we could; we just needed to start a rescue to do so. Our dogs and cats are not first come/first serve.
