This community event will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 11am-3pm at the Fort Lee Dog Park and will bring together all our pet neighbors. (Rain date: Sunday, October 27) Get those pet Halloween costumes ready, as all dogs will have the opportunity to walk the Red Carpet as Mayor Mark Sokolich gives each pet their own personal introduction. Bring the whole family for live music, food and local vendors; and a kids area with pumpkin painting, face painting and tattoos. A stalwart advocate for birds of prey for three decades, it is now recognized as a national leader in the fields of raptor conservation and avian rehabilitation.The Raptor Trust is open to the public seven days a week. Visitors are afforded a unique opportunity to view at close range the many hawks, eagles, falcons and owls that are permanent residents at the facility. We will be pushing our Sunday hound walk at Veterans Park back to 10 am due to the summer heat. The time change goes in effect this Sunday, July 2nd. As many of you know, the walks will be shorter and most likely include a dip in the creek. Bring plenty of water for you and your hound(s).
